 How I Use My Doves in a Reading

A version that stands apart from anything else in the world

My doves are not trained performers. They are sensitive, living instruments of Spirit who read the field of a person long before I speak a word. When someone steps into a reading, the doves begin listening with their bodies — to breath, to memory, to the quiet ache beneath the surface.

They read what the mind hides

A dove feels the tremor of a story someone hasn’t told.
They sense:

  • where the heart has collapsed
  • where grief is still unspoken
  • where forgiveness is trying to rise
  • where an ancestor is near
  • where peace is waiting to return

Their bodies respond to these truths with precision — not theatrically, but intimately.

Their choices reveal the message

I watch the doves the way some people read scripture.

  • Which dove steps forward first
  • Where it chooses to land — heart, shoulder, open palm
  • How long it stays
    • Whether it circles, coos, or settles into stillness
    • How the person’s breath shifts in response

    These gestures are not random.
    They are the language of the unseen.

    A dove landing on the heart is permission.
    A dove circling is clearing.
    A dove refusing to land is truth asking to be acknowledged.

    They soften what has been braced for years

    People often don’t realize how tightly they’ve been holding themselves until a dove touches them.

    The moment a dove settles:

    • the shoulders drop
    • the breath deepens
    • the nervous system unwinds
    • the body remembers it is safe

    Tears come without warning.
    Not because of sadness — but because something finally opens.

    I translate what the doves reveal

    The doves show me the map.
    I give it language.

    I speak to:

    • the sorrow they touched
    • the memory they stirred
    • the ancestor who steppe
